Beijing Institute of Spacecraft Environment Engineering (BISEE) was founded in 1968. Since then, BISEE has been engaged in system assembly, integration and test (AIT) of spacecraft, which include China’s manned spaceship and space station, navigation satellites, telecommunication satellites, earth observation satellites, lunar and deep space exploration satellites, science experiment satellites and recoverable satellites. Meanwhile, BISEE has also been responsible for and capable of developing spacecraft system AIT center, space environmental simulation facility and mechanical ground support equipment with all sectors managed and operated under certified and well-established product and service systems. As a national entity for spacecraft environmental engineering and reliability research, BISEE is also the premier institute for system AIT activities, the development of system AIT center, and ground supporting equipment or facilities. Up to now, BISEE has completed system assembly, integration and space environmental testing of about 213 spacecraft, and over 85% of domestic market share of spacecraft thermal vacuum chambers has been covered by BISEE.

BISEE has been developing and extending its international business, and promoting AIT infrastructures to international customers, including AIT center based on the turn-key system solution, the ground test facilities and affiliated assembly & integration system. Moreover, its products and services have been marketed abroad to more than 10 countries including Russia, Egypt, Pakistan, etc.

BISEE has developed modern spacecraft assembly and integration facility, represented by robot precision assembly system, automatic measurement system, mobile assembling and measuring system, high-precision zero gravity test system for large components, conducting assembly process design, assembly implementation, alignment test, leakage test, and mass property measurement, etc. Based on the specific assembly requirements, ground supporting facilities can be customized and provided accordingly. Moreover, BISEE has managed one production line with an annual output of 100 satellites.

BISEE can meet the system level environmental test requirements of various types of spacecraft concerning mechanical, thermal, magnetic high temperature and other specialties. It has the capacity to perform system level environmental test for large spacecraft in parallel, and has the world-class technology and professional team to accomplish a large number of system level environmental tests annually.

Meanwhile, we have made great breakthroughs in the field of environmental test facility development, and serialized and standardized products in mechanical, thermal, magnetic and other specialties have been gradually formed, which can be applied to the advanced fields such as aviation, electronics, bio medicine, and occupy the vast majority of the domestic market. Moreover, the successful development of the world's largest vibration test facility (1400kN), the second largest acoustic test facility (4000m³) and the third largest space environment simulator (Φ 17m * 22m (H)) are the embody of performance reaching the international advanced level.

Be able to carry out component-level technical research and engineering implementation of mechanical and electrical products, including but not limited to thermal balance and thermal vacuum test, thermal cycling test, thermal shock test, damp-heat test, low pressure test, solar irradiation test, rain test, salt spray test, vibration and shock test, acceleration test, comprehensive environmental test, life test, and reliability enhancement test with services covering aerospace, ships, electronic and electrical appliances, rail transit, energy electronics and other civil fields. According to special requirements of high reliability product verification, specific tests will be designed and carried out.

environmental test system is developed according to specific requirements, such as on Mars surface environment simulation (including atmospheric environment), lunar surface environment simulation (including lunar dust), solar radiation, multispectral scanner radiometric calibration testing, etc.
