Part I-About the Hunan Official Web Portal

The Hunan Official Web Portal is an international window providing information about the government, services, business, tourism, and Hunan generally. It is intended to be a comprehensive platform to promote exchanges and communication with international users and serve them better.  
 
The English version was officially launched in October 2008. The other versions are in French, Japanese, and Korean and were all launched in March, 2010. The mobile version was launched in October 2013. 
  
The website is visited by users from more than 180 countries. It is our goal to provide timely services for those who have already worked in, or who intend to invest in Hunan; for overseas teachers working and students studying in Hunan; and, for tourists who want to visit or are visiting Hunan. 
 
Through the Portal, we will help you better understand Hunan, enjoy its beauty, profound Huxiang culture and people's pioneering spirit. We love showing you the real image of a rising province with great strength in central China, promptly answer all your concerns and queries, and offer you considerate services. 
 
Part II-About the Operator
 
The Portal is organized by the General Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is maintained by the Research Center for Internet Information Services(ReCIIS) at Hunan University. Established in 2008, its three departments are responsible for the construction and daily operation of the Web Portal. This includes information editing and translation; graphic and interaction design; and Internet technology development.
