Established in 1985, and now a subcompany of Shanghai HuaYi Group, Shanghai HuaYi Engineering Co.,Ltd (HYEC) is a high-and-new tech enterprise comprehensively devoting in supplying the consultancy, engineering, project management , EPC/Turnkey Contracting and other services in chemical, petrochemical pharmaceutical architectural engineering area along with having the qualification for overseas' projects contracting.

Since established, HYEC has accomplished more than 1100 projects covering petrochemical industry, chlor-alkali chemistry, oil & gas , organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry new materials technology, fine chemistry, rubber tyre industries as well as light industries, pharmaceuticals, textile industry, synthetic fiber, environmental protection, civil architectural line, etc.

HYEC owns series of inclusive know-how and patent technologies in related chemical industry including plastics, chlorine, Alkali, and fluorine.

In recent years, through the development of the business in EPC/Turnkey Contracting and project management, to enhance the cooperation with overseas engineering corporations, patent suppliers and gear its management mode to international engineering corporations conventions HYEC has been establishing a good corporation organization and management system.

Development
Established Wujing Allied Chemical Company Planning and Design Institute since 1985.
Renamed as Wujing Chemical Design Institute in 1987.
Renamed as Shanghai Chemical Engineering Institute in 1992.
Denominated as ShanghaiChem Engineering Inc after Institutionalizing change in 1998.
SCEI Integrated Shanghai Pacific (Group) Inc. Coking Design Institute and Shanghai Wujing General Chem Design Institute in 2008.
